I was doing some research recently and found out that my ancestors were from the Stuttgart area of Germany. As I was reading the latest Cougar magazine, I noticed that a Michael Schaller from Augsburg Germany has a beautiful 1968 Cougar. Since Augsburg is only about a 2 hour drive from Stuttgart and my mothers maiden name is Schaller, I thought I should try and get in contact with Michael. It could prove that there is a car gene that gets passed on though generations since I too am a Mercury Cougar lover. I own a 1968 GTE and a 1969 Cougar Convertible. My instagram ID is 1965fomoco. Take a peek if you like. If any of you from the Cougar club of Germany know Michael, would you pass along my email address? dan478@aol.com, I would like to connect. I don't speak German, so I do hope that he speaks english. Last spring I met another fellow from Germany who traveled to the Beaver Spring FE reunion weekend. It was wonderful speaking with him. I believe that he told me that he owned 2 GT-Es. I lost his contact information, but would like to re-connect with him as well.
I think you will get an answer from Michael himself here or maybe dircetly via Email. I have forwarded your info to him. He is well known in our community as THE best shop for Classic Cougars in Germany (and maybe all of Europe).
Fe Reunion and own 2 GTE's, its only one Man here in Germany. Jörg or his Nickname here "Fastbacker", He was a Clubmember for a while, I search for him in the Database, but he's deletet/gone. Only CougarMike from the Club can help you to find out more. I have forwarded your info to CougarMike.
